What Is A Networking Group?

A networking group provides effective business opportunities that link individuals who, through trust and relationship-building, become walking, talking advertisements for one another.

The weekly 60 to 90 minute meetings are run by and for members with the sole purpose of exchanging referrals. The meetings include open networking; short presentations by each member, a longer more detailed presentation by one of the members each meeting (speaker rotation list), and time devoted solely to referrals.

Memberships are typically limited to 30-35 per chapter. This gives everyone an opportunity to know the names behind the business cards, thus allowing more comfort in giving referrals. Membership is also restricted to one person per business category in each chapter. This means there can only be one realtor, one chiropractor, one plumber, one legal benefit plan agent, ect. This eliminates any competition for referrals.

S.O.N.G.

To be a member of the S.O.N.G. Networking Group you must pay $140.00 per year as dues. With membership you have access to the Anderson Chamber Events, the Hamilton Chamber Events and the Clermont Chamber Events. We are a non-profit organization so any dues which are not spent are distributed back to the members in the form of group activities such as after hours dinner parties. If you analyze the reasons why this form of building your business would work, you would realize that these fees often run less than any effective form of print advertising or direct mail.

There are many “Networking Groups” and it is important that you seek out one that has the “right fit” for you and your business. At S.O.N.G we believe in a positive attitude in the group.
